Exclusive Vector Badges, Achievements, & Perks
Vector Badges
Since the first release of the Vector Closed Beta in July 2025, a badge system has been introduced that displays on a user's profile. Badges are visual representations of specific actions or achievements earned through usage of Vector Messenger. Some badges are purely aesthetic, serving only to recognize completed actions, while others unlock deeper perks and benefits within the app. For now, a two-tier system is in place: Full Premium Access and Partial Premium Access. Users holding a badge with the Full Premium Access tier will have access to the complete suite of Premium benefits, which in the future will be available through donations and monthly donor badges.
Perks & Benefits
As mentioned in the paragraph above, there will be two tiers of perks and benefits which are full and partial. As Vector further develops, there will be additional features added for users that possess the specific badges or donated to obtain the donor badge will be able to access and use. One example of this is the amount of Emoji Packs a standard users can use, which is currently set to 3. This can be 6, 9, or infinite based on the badge and permissions they grant.
This system was introduced to bring a layer of gamification to the Vector experience, making it more immersive and rewarding. Users who want full Premium access and the complete depth of Vector's features can simply donate to obtain the Donor Badge and unlock the full suite. Vector will never degrade the base user experience by pay walling core features. Instead, creative alternatives are offered for users who want exclusive and unique features, whether through earning badges or making a donation.
For the Closed Beta v0.1.0 , Vector introduced an invite system, which included invite codes that were required for new members to join. The first available badge in Vector is the Vector Beta Inviter Badge (displayed on the left) and the second badge was the V for Vector Badge (displayed on the right) that was available to everyone who logged in on November 5, 2025. The badge system used in Vector is soul-bounded, meaning that they are non-transferable or tradeable to other accounts.
Holographic Badges
Vector now supports holographic badges, starting with tiered Bug Hunter badges awarded through NIP-58. Badges are displayed on an interactive 3D card that tilts and catches the light as you move your device, giving each one a physical, collectible feel rather than a flat icon. Beyond recognition, certain badges unlock additional in-app perks, so earning one carries real benefits alongside the visual reward.

Vector Beta Inviter
Vector Beta Inviter Badge was available to those who sent invites to onboard new members into Vector during the Closed Beta period (July-November 2025). This badge may be available at a later date, during Beta.
V for Vector (2025)
V for Vector (2025) badge was inspired by the Guy Fawkes mask, popularized by the comic and film V for Vendetta. This badge was available to everyone who logged on to Vector for November 5, 2025.
Bug Hunter (Coming Soon™)
The Bug Hunter badge was created to recognize and reward Vector contributors who had successfully reported bugs to developers, which enhances the overall experience for all users.
